Venkatraman, believes that the individual initiatives is the best method of solving the problems of the poor and the deprived, as it would not only improve the living standards of the poor and the downtrodden, but would also enhance the quality of life of the "haves". |
Shri N.S.Venkatraman, a simpleton, following Gandhian Values, founded an organization Nandini Voice for the Deprived to help the poor and the needy. A chemical Engineer by profession, running a consultancy, had the strong conviction to help the needy and thus formed NVD.
Nandini Computer School, a dedicated school for the boys and girls from lower income group, presently functioning at the following centres in TamilNadu: Perungudi, Chennai /Thiruvottiyur, Chennai /Ambattur, Chennai /Perambalur, Tamil Nadu /Dindugal, Tamil Nadu.Nandini Computer School provides free computer education to the boys and girls of lower income group. Number of students who have successfully completed the course in Nandini Computer School exceed 800 in the last three years and most of them have already been placed in jobs.
Nandini Voice for the Deprived encourages the disabled persons to acquire skill and emerge as self employed persons. Nandini Voice for the Deprived conducts exhibition sale of products made by the disabled persons. They also have an online portal to order for products. Journal NVD posts various help requests for individuals.
