Personality of the week:
A t 50 years, Dr. C.L.Jobson comes across as anything but a person who is ready to shed his responsibilities and retire from an active profession. With 30 years of experience behind his him, this experienced Homeopathy physician has spent his life improving rural health care. |
H
e has not allowed his busy profession to curb his passion for other interests. In his spare time, he pens poems, stories, novels and play rights. He is also a talented actor and a strong critic of Malayalam and Tamil literature. He is also an instructor at a Theater workshop. In the past, he was also the publisher and editor of the Tamil monthly, "KALACHHARAM". For some of us who shy away from active public work citing a “busy” work schedule, Dr Jobson’s lifestyle is worthy of emulating.
|
| He played an active role in the Industrial revolution which swept across the state. Though he has documented the various facets of lifestyle which were prevalent in this period, he is still looking forward to publish and share his thoughts with the rest of us. A sincere and a dedicated worker, his only aim in life is to provide medical treatment to the poor. Dr.Jobson comes across as a simple down to earth person. |
For such a good natured person, life has been anything but easy. He continues to struggle to make both ends meet. His innocence has been exploited way too many times for financial gains but he never flinches and just takes it in his stride. He runs a clinic in a remote village, Elavur near Gummidipoondi in the outskirts of Chennai. He leads an austere life with the sole motive of providing free homeopathy training and spread awareness about Homeopathy across the rural areas. He is a firm believer of Einstein’s view that “Only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile”.

Food for Thought...
Believing is one thing, doing another. Many talk like
the sea but their lives are stagnant marshes. Others raise
their heads above the mountain tops, while their soul cling
to the dark walls of caves.
